The fusion of stop motion and time lapse video - Guy Walks Across America

I stumbled across this Youtube clip last night. I absolutely love the way they have fuzed time lapse and stop motion, yielding and extremely unique piece of video. They way the actor seems to be walking at a normal pace while his environment whizzes by is a real treat.

Make sure you also watch the clip detailing how they filmed this.

Zef style hits North America in a big way

South African rap group Die Antword has released a new video for their track Evil Boy, and it has kicked up a huge cloud of controversy in North America.

Where at first glance, this strange and highly stylized piece of videography may seem anti-gay and gratuitously vulgar, it is actually the first stand against a social issue in Africa which has received far too little attention: Genital mutilation in young African men.

The tradition is a right of passage into manhood, and is essentially an unsterilized circumcision performed with a ceremonial blade; no anesthetic is used. The procedure is highly dangerous, and has unnecessarily claimed the lives of many young African men. The tragedy is that should any of these boys refuse to undergo the ordeal, they are exiled from their own tribe and dubbed an 'evil boy'.

Fun motion graphics kick off every episode of NBC's CHUCK

A nerdy Stanford drop-out with a government supercomputer stuck in his brain cheats death and saves the day (Along with his CIA and NSA handlers) with quirky style and little to no grace.

Chuck is a show I have followed from the very beginning, and would highly recommend to ANY fan of campy TV; so if you like video games, gunfights and hot blonds in flack jackets, this show is for you!

You can check out the motion graphic intro below, and new episodes airing every Tuesday night.

Enjoy the video!

You should check this comic out!

Love the character style, love the humor. A great comic to follow all around. If you have the time, it's worth it to read through the archives from the beginning, an amazing evolution in artistic quality and style happens!

Motionographer - A collective of Digital Design

Motion graphics have always captivated my attention and imagination; in fact, the style of motion graphics in pop culture has influenced my static art many times over. Although Adobe After Effects is giving me a slight bit of trouble in a project I am currently working on, I aspire to use the program easily and efficiently some day in the future.
